9.50am-10.50am: Panel 1: TACKLING THE MULTIVERSE OF MISOGYNY
As real-world misogyny infiltrates online spaces like MMORPGs and the metaverse, and as cyber-harassment cases increasingly involve physical consequences, it’s clear that legislation alone cannot tackle the deeply entrenched mindsets fueling the targeting of women. While calls for better education and civil discourse are widespread, the urgent question is: what strategies can we adopt that are both impactful and fast-acting? This compelling panel explores solutions spanning school curricula, inter-generational family communication, and the blurring of fantasy and reality in a world where everyone can have multiple identities.
