MOU Signings with Singapore Council Women's Organisations, Pro Bono SG, SHEIN and TSMP, 11 Jan 2023
It’s official! SHECARES@SCWO will open its doors on 19 January 2023, as Singapore’s first one-stop support centre for victims or survivors of online harms.
A whole-of-society effort is needed to tackle the scourge of online harms, and the centre’s work will be strengthened by the contributions of our partners. At a Memorandum of Understanding signing event, we sealed our partnerships with Singapore Council of Women's Organisations (SCWO), Pro Bono SG, SHEIN Singapore, and TSMP. Together, we will work towards providing holistic and comprehensive support to victims and survivors of online harms.
Special thanks to Guest-of-Honour, SMS Sim Ann, Special Adviser to SHE, who delivered a meaningful address on the significance of the centre and how it directly fills an identified gap for victims and survivors of online harms who do not know how or where to seek help.
Thanks also to Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam, and Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law Edwin Tong, for attending our event in a show of support.
