SHE x DBS International Women’s Day, 14 Mar 2023

“If you want to get a mindset change… You’ve got to create programmes of change which capture the imaginations of people, and bring focus to issues”, says CEO of DBS Piyush Gupta, who also serves as Special Adviser to SHE.

Referring to gender inclusive workplaces, Piyush made this point at the DBS x SHE International Women’s Day 2023 panel discussion, alongside fellow panelists Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law Minister K Shanmugam and DBS Group Head of Institutional Banking Tan Su Shan. The panel was moderated by SHE’s Chairperson, Stefanie Yuen Thio.

At DBS, women comprise 50% of the workforce, 40% of senior management, and run some of the largest businesses and key functions across the bank.

DBS is an organisation which stands for gender equality. It has introduced training on unconscious bias, a Lean In network, flexible work arrangements, and parental leave.
